Dr. Kumar Vivekanand, MD (Hom) has recently joined as Registrar-cum-Secretary of Central Council of Homoeopathy, a Statutory Body under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The job content includes to regulate minimum standards of education in Homoeopathy; recommend Central Govt. for permission of opening of new colleges, increase of seats and starting of new or higher course of studies; advise/recommend to Central Government for recognition or withdrawal of recognitions of medical qualification in Homoeopathy; maintain the Central Registrar of Homoeopathy; prescribe standards of professional conduct, etiquette and code of ethics to be observed by the Homoeopathic practitioners; court cases, RTI matters, Parliamentary affairs, etc.

 

He has completed his BHMS in 2000 and MD (Hom) in 2005 from National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata. Later joined CCRH in 2009, then worked in Ministry of Ayush, up to 2016. During his tenure at Education Policy Section of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India entrusted with policy making for Development, Regulation, Research and Popularization of Ayurved, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy and Yoga & Naturopathy.

Dr Anil Khurana is presently working asDirector General in Central Council for Research Homoeopathy. He has an experience of over 30 years in the Council and has worked all the areas of research i.e. clinical research, basic research, fundamental research, drug standardization, clinical verification and drug proving.

 

He has more than 70 research publications in various national and international journals to his credits. He has undertaken Post Doctoral Fellowship in HIV AIDS in University of California, Los Angeles, US. He has also acquired qualification of Bio ethicist from ICMR-IGNOU (joint course)

Director of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory

Dr. GVR Joseph is working as Director of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory (HPL) under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory was established in 1975 as a quality monitoring apex body in setting standards for Homoeopathic Medicine. He is also the Government Analyst for Homeopathic Medicines for the Country. Earlier he worked in CCRAS and Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, CSIR in various capacities in the field of herbal drug standardization. Dr. Joseph did his Ph.D. Post graduated in Bio Sciences and also in Sociology. He took a Diploma in Naturopathy and Post Graduate Diploma in Drug Regulatory Affairs. As a researcher in herbal drug standardization, he published 34 papers in National and International journals, 24 monographs and team member of a patent for a ‘Standardized anti-diabetic formulation of Plant origin’. Dr Joseph authored 19 books and presented 31 topics on Botany and drug standardization.

His expertise as an Editor of the Journal Drug Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Reviewer of the Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy and Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Traditional and Folk Practices, TBGRI, Government of Kerala. He represented the country in various International platforms - ‘Negotiations on Traditional Health Medicinal Plants Directive (THMPD)’ with European Commission, Brussels, Belgium, ’Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of United States (HPUS), USA, ‘Herbal Products Expo. & Conferences, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and ‘Inter-country workshop on management of Herbal net Digital Repository, Bangakok, Thailand’ etc.

He is working in the Ministry of Ayush as Deputy Adviser(Homoeopathy). He has completed his BHMS in 2001 from Mahesh Bhattacharyya Homoeopathic Medical College, Howrah, and completed MD (Hom) in 2006 from National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata. He is working in the Ministry of Ayush since 2007 and is dealing with the matters connected with the education and practice of Homoeopathy and different schemes of Ministry of AYUSH.
